In his budget speech Arun Jetley announced launching of Mudra bank which will provide financing services to small and micro businesses.

Today is the day for launch of Mudra bank. The schemes introduced by Mudra Bank are Shishu, Kishor and Tarun. Under these schemes loans upto 10 lakhs will be provided to micro and small industry.

What are your opinion on this and whether this bank will really provide the banking credit to industry which was always ignored by banks till date?

Mudra bank is a good initiative. But loans are loan. India have to work more on vc funding and other kind of fudnings which are in nature of investment instead of debts.

But, anyhow this is also a good move to support trading and small manufacturers.

I agree on your points related to investment part. The investment market in India is not fully evolved and is still in fetching stage.

Big outside firms are the one who invested in succesful ventures and made money. Indian VC investors have to think like a VC instead of a risk free investment.
