India is a nation with rich culture and heritage and people of various walks of life live here. Due to this reason there is a difference in the attitude and perception of the people. We believe in the concept of unity and divertisy. Due to people from various walks of life living with each other, there is a chance that their ideologies will not match. This can lead to altercations and conflicts. Communal riots are the product of these altercations. North India has seen communal riots on a large scale. Cities like Meerut, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Nagpur, Patna and others in North India has witnessed riots of greater magnitude.
Consider the case of violence in Muzzafarnagar in Uttar Pradesh, where in people lost their lives and properties worth billions were destroyed. Trilokpuri, a sub urban area in Delhi saw the rise of Hindu backlash against the Muslims who were minority. Many muslims lost the lives and some of them accused the Army and the police of siding with the Hindus. It took approximately 10 days for normalcy to return to the Areas. There was a virtual mincemeat of various people in 2013 riots in Muzzaffarnagar and situation completely went out of control.
In our nation, Hindus and Muslims live side by side in many villages and cities. There is a saying that 'A spark can lead to the fire'. Talk of peace, development, prosperity becomes void when you have communal riots. India has been witness to various communal riots of massive proportions which almost lead to the break up. Mutual trust between Muslims and Hindus must be present to prevent the any communal riots.
