The fact is very shocking that Indian hold a large chunk of Gold in their Houses. India is the biggest consumer of Gold.

So what Indians do with Gold? Why Indian have so much love for Gold?

The love for gold in India has blocked other investment options. People prefer gold over Bonds, stock market or any other form of Investment.

The majority of Indian use gold for Jewellary, Temples and Investment.

The yellow shining metal shows the status of families in marriages, increase the importance of a temple and remains the investment that will be liquidated only in Dead or alive scenerio.

Do you think this Gold love is affecting our economic growth as money is blocked in a non-liquid form? And government move on taxing the imports at higher rate is justifiable?
