Registration of multiple branches
I have queries regarding multiple branches, please suggest.
If VAT registration is done for an establishment as a proprietor and planning to start another one, what is the procedure to be followed? Can we start the new establishment as a branch under same VAT registration or should it be a new registration by the same proprietor? Somewhere I have read that one person cannot have multriple VAT registrations/TINs. What will be advantages & disadvantages of each model?
If same VAT will continue what will be terms like naming the establishment, filing returns, proximity? Can one of them be full VAT & another in composite scheme based on procurement model they will operate? How to apply?

With one PAN you can obtain only one registration. If you have branches, you need to add additional places of business under same registration.
This addition can be made at the time of applying for registration or post registration.
You need to file a single return every month for all premises covering details of all branches and head office within Karnataka.
