Should the Bangalore be only silicon valley of India?

Sometime back Bangalore was the only big software hub of India. But lately things have chagned and now we see that Hydrabad, Pune, gurgaon and many other cities are developing on software Industries.

It was thought that this is a good thing happening. But if we analyze the situation economicaly, we will find that this is the worst thing happened to Indian software industry.

For example take example of USA, usa has the highest number of succesful web enterpreuners. Its not just the webpreuners but top software companies are from USA.

And almost all successful software companies in USA are from silicon valley. The presence of software industry in one preticular region gave a big domestic market to USA. And many enterpreuners started their career successfuly.

But in Indian scenerio, If someone from Bangalore start a software or web business, he will find that Industry is spread all over India and will end up increasing marketing, resource cost. And its difficult to find consumer of his product or service in one area.

Was the software industry only set up in Bangalore. a large organised market would have been created. And this spread up of software industry within country has given increase oppurtunity for outsourcing and data entry work only. And very few companies actually do Research and Development work.

I fully agree but Bangalore could not provide a good infrastructure for these companies and most of them moved out. Another reason is most of the manforce employed in these companies were from north, to save the cost these companies moved to north.

But i agree that not only Bangalore it may be some other place, but if industry is set up in a particular region, chances of meeting the like minded increase. And like minded people can create magic together.

Its very difficult to have a enterpreunership without a partner, in present scenerio things beocme very difficult for single person to handle all work together. But due to spread of industry in many unconnected regions the chances of meeting like minded people is very low.

Agree but if companies are moving out of Bangalore is also a good thing. Because people in other regions also get a chance to learn this profession. And software is not a business where you need lot of investment. It can be from any place.

If you think that moving out from Bangalore is good thing and the awareness spreaded because of this than why India dont have high earning bloggers except few.

Why we are still way behind in Net or software development.

What we need is the enterpreuner skills/thinkin in our software professionals.

Infosys and many other IT companies are performing really bad. They concentrated on outsourcing and companies like infosys hardly spent on development of inhouse products.

But basic rule of outosurcing is, Outsource to them who do it in least.

And inflation India is at record high and indian companies will find it difficult to compete with philipins. The standard of life is law in phillipins compare to India. And this will be an added cost advantage to them.

Its high time that Indian companies spend more on R&D.
