Nowdays every one use the debit/credit cards in cities. Atleast those who earn more than 10000 pm are using it.

I was thinking of noting down some measures we can take to avoid fraud happening with us. You can extend these measures in replies.

1. Never disclose your ATM PIN to anyone.

2. Never disclose your Online Banking password to anyone. and also stay away from using your banking service in cyber cafes.

3. Dont give your mobile to anyone. Visa and Master card send the OTP(One time Password) to mobile to transact. Anyone having your credit card details can make online purchases if have your mobile.

4. And best i was suggested was to have 2 bank accounts, one without any facility and with facilities. Use with facility account to transact online transactions and without facilities for keeping your cash.

Maintain low balance in With facility account.

any other measure we can take to avoid fraud?

Use your browser in incognito mode or in private window mode so that your browsing history can not be saved into temp folder of the system on which you are surfing and performing banking related activities. For Chrome browser press Ctrl + Shift + N key simultaneously to start incognito mode of browsing session any time during normal browsing session and for Mozilla Firefox browser you need to press the same three keys simultaneously but instead of "N" key you hve to press "P" key means press Ctrl + Shift + P simultaneously. In incognito or private mode of browsing the data you entered does not save permanently into your temp folder so no one can access your data once you close and come out of the browser window.

The another way to check such frauding like activities to use virtual keypad instead of using normal keyboard attached to your system. By doing this you can be safe from phising malware and other data stealing activities done through various illegal softwares by the huge number of hijackers.

Along with above mentioned suggestions you need to follow the notices and guidelines provided by your Internet Banking Department of your Bank through various medium like mails, messages etc. You need to keep your confidential data like your ATM PIN or your Internet Banking SignOn and Transaction Password safe and restricted upto you so that no oe hire or steal it and misuse it.
