Starc Vs Pollard, full drama on field - who was at fault ?
The conflict between players of Austraila and the West Indies got worst on the field in the Tuesdays match RCB Vs MI. Who was at fault ?
It all started with a bouncer in the same over bowled by Strac and Strac exchanged a few choice of words.
Strac dint do anything against the Laws of the game, as the umpire hadn't called the ball dead untill Strac was in his delivery stride. One can argue about the spirit of the game, but Strac should not face any punishment as he just followed a batsman who was backing away.
But what polllard did after that was clearly in Breach of Law, (Clause 18 of Law 42), which pertains to players conduct and shoud be punished as per the norms.
Many games left in IPL, with many players from both countries play for different teams, it's unlikely that we have seen the last of this continuing conflict.
But surely both the team have lost Fairplay points.
